Why Are Wives The Glue?
No matter who you’re married to, it’s hard. Compromise is hard. Communicating is hard. Having a family is hard. It’s not for the faint of heart. This is amplified for spouses of law enforcement. There are a million stressors added onto the traditional marriage structure, and the wives are usually what’s holding it all together. Being a spouse of law enforcement takes courage.
We share our two perspectives about what it’s like to be married to a first responder, as a civilian and first responder.

Common Advice We Give To Wives of Law Enforcement
...No matter what kind of day I had as a first responder, I had to learn to be a wife and put my husband first. Steve was a priority over me. When the time was right, I shared my stressors of the job with Steve. God gave men the physical strength, and he gave women the emotional strength!
